Ken Hamaguchi graduated from Tama Art University with a major in Japanese painting in 1997.

While primarily working as an illustrator, he also debuted as an artist in 2008 with his solo exhibition "Kuro, Kyobun, Sonota" (Black, Sutra, Others) at Takahashi Collection Kagurazaka, creating paintings mainly inspired by pop culture and subcultures such as music.

Recent solo exhibitions include "Tabun, Terebi no Harawata?" (Probably, The Guts of TV?) (WISH LESS gallery, Tokyo, 2021), "Tokyo Hakkei 2020" (Eight Views of Tokyo 2020) (un petit GARAGE, Tokyo), and "PICK YOUR GOD 2020" (WISH LESS gallery, Tokyo).
